Here in Spring Mill Village, you will find a village from the 1830s that was originally settled by a young man named Samuel Jackson.
1814 - Mr. Jackson build a 15x15 log gristmill closer to the cave and creek than where the mill is located now.
1817 - The Buillets from the Louisville area bought Mr. Jackson out lock, stock, and barrel.
1823 - The Buillets sold out to the Montgomery's from Philadelphia.
1831 - The Montgomery's sold the Mill and property to Hugh and Thomas Hamer.
1881 - The Hamers sold the property to the Turleys.
